About me
I work with all stakeholders from project conception to completion
Henry Whyte
I grew up on a sheep and beef farm in the Bay of Plenty during the ‘80s. Despite my father’s love of the land, looking back now I cringe at the activities that used to be considered ‘normal’. You know the ones; lighting fires with an old tyre full of diesel, dumping rubbish into a hole in the ground and disposing of industrial chemicals God knows how.
These days we have all smartened up our act but farmers seem to get as bad a rap as ever. I know that we can do better but I also know that landowners have more than enough on their plate. It is often difficult to find the time or energy to do those important jobs that are not essential to the running of your farm.
That is where I come in.
As mentioned, I am one of the fortunate ones who can say that they grew up on a farm and I believe there is no better way to understand your place in the world than by working with animals and the land. From an educational standpoint, I received a BCom (Management) from Otago University and BSci (Biological Science) from Waikato. I have 20 years of real-world business experience progressing as far as a Dir of Operations role with a $55mm/yr, 750 employee, multi-unit enterprise in North America. I am currently the Director of a woodlot and understand forestry practices and health and safety requirements. I have a sincere commitment to environmental improvements in God’s own country for the benefit of all stakeholders.
As idealistic as I might be I know that if the numbers don’t stack up then any project is a no-go.
